What is plan/ria?
plan/ria is a shared-money app being built for UK couples. It brings shared bills, flexible contribution rules and partner visibility settings together, so you can manage your home while keeping personal spending private.
Can we use plan/ria today?
The product is being built and is not publicly available yet. Join the waitlist for launch updates. You can use our free bill split calculator, money quiz and guides today without joining.
Do we need a joint bank account?
No. plan/ria is designed to work alongside your own accounts. Start with a shared bill and an agreed split. Open Banking connections are part of the product we are building, with availability depending on your relationship stage.
What if one of us earns more?
You can choose equal, income-based or custom contributions for each bill. An income-based split divides a cost in proportion to your incomes. Our free calculator lets you compare that with 50/50 before you decide together.
Will my partner see all my spending?
The product is designed so each partner controls their own visibility settings. Sharing a bill does not mean sharing every personal purchase or account balance. You can start small and decide together what to share over time.
Is plan/ria a bank?
No. plan/ria is a tool for organising shared finances. It is not a bank, does not replace your current account and does not provide regulated financial advice.
Is this financial advice?
No. The snapshot is a short questionnaire that produces a directional score for conversation. Not regulated advice.
Does my partner need the app?
Not yet. They open your invite link in a browser, answer the same three questions, and add their email. You count as a couple when you both finish.
What does the score mean?
It reflects how you split bills, how much you want to share day to day, and how often you talk about money. Use it to start a calmer conversation.
